February 18 meeting

Hi Families!

We hope the girls had fun at cowgirl night last week. Here are a couple of pictures:

This week the girls will finish up their Emergency Preparedness badge. Please have your Spark bring a stuffed toy or doll – they will be practicing first aid with them.

Just a reminder that our next meeting will be Monday February 24 rather than Tuesday the 25^th. See our previous post for details. We will have one of the Sparks leaders meet the girls at the front door of St. Leonard’s (5344 Long Island Rd., Manotick), as there will be a number of people there. Please arrive shortly before 6:15 if possible. Also, please let us know if your daughter cannot make this meeting.


Rona cards: Girl Guides of Canada has teamed up with RONA for a fundraising project. Discount cards for 5% off most purchases, that can be used at the two Ottawa RONA locations, will be provided to families . When the cards are used, RONA also makes a matching donation to Girl Guides. Marigold will have the cards after February 24 – please ask for one!!


Finally, we have two field trips scheduled for after the March break. Stay tuned for details – permission forms will be emailed out shortly.
